Creative Learning Scotland

Following interest generated by Paul Collard’s keynote speech at Education Scotland’s Scottish Learning Festival in 2012, CCE has undertaken a range of professional development activities for a number of individual Local Authorities and Creative Learning Networks across Scotland.

The work has included the facilitation of a range of ‘Creative Conversations’, the provision of training workshops for both teachers and artists and discussions with both Creative Scotland and Education Scotland around wider strategic approaches to embedding creativity within education.

Two of the Creative Conversations featuring Paul Collard can be viewed here and here.

In 2016, CCE is supporting Creative Scotland’s review of the role of creative learning in its strategic plan. The review aims to refocus and refine the remit of creative learning in the context of the creative sector and to set priorities for the next few years. At the same time, CCE is working with Education Scotland to ensure that creativity and creative learning play a role in meeting the goals of the Scottish Government’s Attainment Challenge.
