Open for Business

CCE worked with Multistory, a Community Arts organisation in the Black Country to design and deliver an education programme for Open for Business, a three-year photography project in partnership with Magnum Photos.  The programme was funded by Arts Council England in partnership with the CBI and the Financial Times Magazine and involved cultural partners, consisting of leading museums and galleries from around the UK.  The photographers carried out their shoots from January through to October 2013, and the exhibition toured throughout 2014 and 2015.

CCE developed a training programme for teachers and educators within cultural institutions and developed a curriculum framework to encourage better use of photography across the Key Stage 3 curriculum. The programme has enabled teachers to develop cross curriculum projects exploring manufacturing and to incorporate photography into the pupils’ learning.
