Pete is Director of Resources at Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE).
In his role at CCE, Pete has overall responsibility for CCE’s Finance, ICT and HR systems, premises, administration/reception services, legal and company secretarial matters. He was CCE’s first employee and was responsible for all aspects of its set-up, including the identification and implementation of new offices in Newcastle upon Tyne and London, recruitment of all staff and establishment of all systems and processes.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Pete has extensive previous experience in both the education and cultural sectors. Pete joined CCE after seven years as Director of Business Services for NCFE, the national awarding body. Prior to that, he was Head of Finance for Northern Arts for eight years, the regional arts board for the North East (now Arts Council England North East) managing Finance, HR, ICT and corporate relocations for both organisations.
Pete holds a MA in French/German, having studied at the Universities of St Andrews, Heidelberg and Paris IV (Sorbonne). He has also served on the Board of the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle, acts as a business mentor/consultant for various small cultural businesses and spends his spare time obsessively collecting records and CDs.
